As a founding member, I felt it hard to compete in my individual region, not knowing what was happening in similar markets. The group was formed to help distributors compete more effectively in the markets that each of us serve. Our goal was to strengthen our individual companies by networking with other independent distributors that face the same day to day operating and competitive issues: sharing ideas, marketing methods, success stories, increasing efficiencies, and improving our profits by participating in additional manufacturer rebate programs and block buying opportunities.
